Peridot in the Bible
The holy book makes reference to Peridot, with the stone featuring in the breastplate of a High Priest (Exodus 28:17).
The word pitdah appears on numerous occasions in the bible, and there has been some debate as to its meaning. Some believe the aforementioned stone to be a topaz, but many suggest the Hebrew word is more likely to denote a Peridot stone.
peridot crystals can be used to stimulate the solar plexus (part of the nervous system that helps our organs to function) and to also rebalance the heart. Moreover, in Indian tradition, this gemstone relates to the fourth chakra – the heart chakra. This is closely linked to compassion, love and affection. Peridot can help to propel that love around your being, enabling you to follow your destiny and listen to what your heart is trying to tell you.
In ancient advanced civilizations, we were self-attuned, aware of vibratory frequencies and able to heal ourselves. As humanity grew more material, healing was turned over to the shaman/priests. Our cure no longer came from within. Prescriptions were administered through the art of talismanic which combines the energies of the stones with shape and numerical proportion.
